However, Redfall has become the studio’s worst release yet. Why it matters: Arkane Studios had a history of exceptional games like Dishonored and Prey. However, a new report from Axios states that Redfall has found success on Xbox Game Pass. Before its launch, many were already critical of the game due to announcements like the lack of a 60FPS mode at launch.įollowing a poor launch with terrible reviews, the gaming industry appears to have moved on from Arkane Studios’ new IP. A patch is planned for a later date, but if that's not going to stop you from jumping in on day one, you might want to check out the new Redfall Limited Edition Xbox controllers and Redfall Dynamic Background, which are sure to give your gaming setup an unholy makeover.Redfall has been surrounded by negativity for many months. It was recently revealed that Redfall won't launch with a 60fps Performance Mode, and will only offer a 30fps Quality mode on Xbox Series X|S. Naturally, these sizes don't account for the day-one patch, if there is one of course. The DLC offers a few extra in-game items: Grim Tide Shotgun, Polar Vortex Multi-weapon skin, and Blood Ravager Stake weapon attachment. On top of that, if you've preordered Redfall or have an Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass subscription, the Vampire Hunter Pack can also be downloaded for an additional 10MB or so. Those of you looking to play on PC, though, will need to set aside roughly 103GB if you fancy hopping in. The base version of Arkane's vampire-hunting FPS weighs in at around 77GB on Xbox Series X, while the Xbox Series S has a more manageable size of around 40GB. If you're looking to play Redfall when it launches on Tuesday, now might be the best time to get it installed on your platform of choice, as it's not the smallest of file sizes.
